Jujutsu Kaisen, an anime series that debuted in late 2019, has gained popularity for its fusion of fantasy and horror. The animated series, which is based on the Gege Akutami manga, already has a sizable, worldwide fandom.
The prequel anime film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 competed with The Batman at the box office in the US and UK, demonstrating the size of the fanbase for the curse-busting mythos. As a result, interest in what will happen next in Yuji’s ongoing “trial by fire” to become a Jujutsu sorcerer and what newcomers may end up darkening the school’s halls is at an all-time high.
We’ve combed through all the information we could find to let you know precisely when Suguru Geto will return to haunt your preferred viewing platform. We’ll let you know what the new season could be about, who you might expect to see, and what streaming service it will all be on in addition to what we know about the debut.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Trailer
No, there is not currently a trailer for season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. New episodes have not yet been properly teased, and they most likely won’t be until they are prepared to provide us with additional information regarding the air date.
Nevertheless, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 finale and post-credit sequence gave us a hint. It’s not much, but we do know that following his time overseas, Yuta will be going back to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. Or at the very least, that is inferred. To find out, we’ll have to wait!
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Potential Plot
Although we can’t be positive, if Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 follows the manga, we may assume that Satoru Gojo will play a key role. There are several flashbacks to Satoru’s history in the manga’s upcoming arc, Gojo’s Past.
This is consistent with Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in which we learned more about Satoru’s earlier acquaintance with Suguru Geto from the anime. Suguru will still play a major role in the next season as the main adversary since Choco, the third curse to emerge from Cursed Womb: Death Painting has allied with Suguru.
Sukuna is still gradually returning to full vigor while this is going on. That’s probably not going to happen this season, but it sounds like the perfect thing to tease for season 3 doesn’t it?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Potential cast
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen should have all of the usual cast members. Thus, Yuji, Satoru, Panda, Maki, Toge, and Nobara are present, along with Yuta from the movie. Suguru, Choco, and Sukuna should all be present on the evil side, however, it is unclear how much or how little.
The voice cast should carry over as well, with the major actors for the English version being Adam McArthur, Kaiji Tang, Allega Clark, Xander Mobus, Matthew David Rudd, and Lex Lang. If Kayleigh McKee returns to play Yuta, she will be present as well.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Potential Release Date
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will start airing sometime in 2023, however, the precise date is unknown. Before Jujutsu Kaisen 0, this was announced, and manga creator Gege Akutami marked the event on Twitter with a unique image.
That leaves January 2023 (winter season), April 2023 (spring season), or October 2023 as viable release windows (autumn season). That makes the most sense because Jujutsu Kaisen’s inaugural season debuted in the fall. Additionally, it gives MAPPA Studio enough time to complete all of the episodes after completing the film’s production.
