Gege Akutami created Jujutsu Kaisen, which is one of the most well-known anime series. With the premiere of season 2 in the last year, fans can’t stop talking about the show.
The beloved characters had a rough 2nd season, especially Yuji who was not given enough time to deal with the painful events that were happening to him one after the other. The curses tricked Gojo so that they could seal him and thereby destroy their biggest opponent from their way. Furthermore, it seems certain that Nobara and Nanami are now dead.

When will Gojo get unsealed in Jujutsu Kaisen anime?
After being sealed in manga chapter 90, Gojo doesn’t appear again until chapter 221, when he immediately starts fighting Sukuna. Although Gojo was only locked in the Prison Realm for 20 days in the manga, fans believed he had been there for three years.
Three storylines—Itadori’s Extermination (7 chapters), Perfect Preparation (15 chapters) and Culling Game (63 chapters)—have no mentions of him. Gojo will thus probably make an appearance in Season 4, which is too far away. The usual pacing and amount of episodes leave no place for Gojo’s comeback in Season 3, even though it’s not officially confirmed.
For Season 3, the 85 chapters from the above-mentioned arcs are a little too much. While Season 2 has 23 episodes covering 74 chapters, Season 1 covers 63 chapters in 24 episodes. It will take at least three to four years to complete the production, even if MAPPA can adapt 85 chapters from Season 3 with extra episodes.
