Kajal Aggarwal will be featuring as a lead character in ‘Uma’, which has filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh as the creative producer.Indian actor and model Kajal Aggarwal recently took to Twitter to share the incredible news with audiences. Aggarwal made her Bollywood debut with ‘Kyun: Ho Gaya Naa’.
The upcoming Hindi language movie is produced by Avishek Ghosh of AVMA Media and Mantraraj Paliwal Miraj Group. Debutante director Tathagata Singha will be driving the film. Set in an aristocratic household with a wedding backdrop where the entire family assembles, the drama unfolds through the multi-faceted characters with the arrival of a stranger Uma.

It is expected that the makers will soon confirm the names of other cast members. It was also declared that Uma will be shot in the second half of 2021, keeping all COVID-19 safety procedures in consideration. Aggarwal, who has worked in the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industry, was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series Live Telecast.

The actor has appeared in a variety of Telugu and Tamil movies. She made her acting debut in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun…! Ho Gaya Na, playing a minor part, before becoming a leading actress in the major South Indian film industries. She climbed the stairs to success after her performance as ‘Yuvarani Mitravinda’ and ‘Indu’ in the 2009 Telugu blockbuster movie Magadheera.
