Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bollywood debut Aiyyaa may not have been a box office success, but one iconic moment from the film has recently resurfaced and this time, it’s Kajol’s reaction that’s stealing the show.
As part of a promotional campaign for their upcoming film Sarzameen, Kajol and Prithviraj sat down to revisit some of their old work. The moment the infamous Dreamum Wakeupum dance sequence from Aiyyaa played, Kajol burst into uncontrollable laughter. The video, shared by JioHotstar, shows Prithviraj visibly embarrassed, attempting to shut the laptop while saying, “Okay, we are not doing this one.” But Kajol, still laughing, kept him from closing it.
Trying to explain the eccentric dance sequence, Prithviraj added, “I have done a lot of mainstream masala stuff that I absolutely love, but I have never done a film where it was more neck-down about myself. You usually shoot women the way I was shot in Aiyyaa.”
The light-hearted exchange quickly went viral on Reddit, with fans loving their off-screen rapport. Comments poured in: “Kajol’s laugh is so contagious,” wrote one user, while another quipped, “They should do a fun movie together!!” One fan summed it up perfectly: “Your friends showing your drunk dance after the wedding.”
Directed by Sachin Kundalkar, Aiyyaa remains a cult favourite for its bold visuals, Amit Trivedi’s vibrant soundtrack, and eccentric storytelling none more memorable than Dreamum Wakeupum, now reignited by Kajol’s infectious laughter.
