Kamal Haasan confirms upcoming collaboration with Rajinikanth

A movie starring Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth together has long been anticipated by fans. In their younger years, the two Tamil film industry celebrities collaborated on a number of films, including Apoorva Ragangal, Moondru Mudichu, Avargal, and Pathinaru Vayathinilele.

Kamal Haasan has just made a significant announcement at the SIIMA Awards platform. After winning for his role in Kalki 2898 AD, the veteran actor was asked if fans could anticipate another movie in which he worked with Rajinikanth.

“We’re not sure if it’s a Tharamana Sambavam (wonderful occurrence), but it’s good if the audience enjoys it,” Kamal retorted.

“We’ll be pleased if they’re content. If not, we will keep trying. It took a while for this to happen. They gave each of us a single biscuit, so we were kept apart. However, we will come together because the half cookie makes us both happy. You all came up with the idea for the competition,” he said.

“There isn’t any rivalry between us. That we had the opportunity to accomplish this is crucial. I’m the same way about him. Business-wise, it may come as a surprise, but at least it’s occurring now. Our goal has always been to produce each other’s movies.”

No further information regarding the movie was confirmed by Kamal. The film has reportedly been in the works for filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. Lokesh recently said at a Coolie promotional event that he has cameos planned for the LCU and will bring in Kamal because he is a big fan of the actor. In Vikram, Lokesh collaborated with Kamal. Rajinikanth starred in his final movie, Coolie, which came out last month.

The last time fans saw Kamal was in Thug Life, starring Mani Ratnam. The movie did poorly at the box office and had mixed reviews when it first came out. Netflix is now offering it for viewing.
