Kanada actor, Sanchari Vijay is declared brain- dead, family decided to donate his organs

National Award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay has been declared brain-dead. Sanchari Vijay, met with an accident while he was returning home from his friend’s place on June 12, Saturday. He was on his motorbike. The actor was very critical as he was rushed to a hospital in Bangalore.

Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay had sustained serious injuries on Saturday, June 12, after he got into a road accident. He was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Bengaluru. According to reports, the actor met with an accident while he was returning home from his friend’s place. The actor has suffered injuries in the right portion of the brain and in the thigh region, as per the reports. Vijay has been declared brain-dead, today, on June 14.

While talking to a news channel earlier, neurosurgeon Arun Nayak had said that Sanchari Vijay is ‘very critical.’  The doctor said, “The health condition of Sanchari Vijay is very critical. As he had blood clot in the brain, we have performed a surgery, the next 48 hours is going to be critical.”

After he was declared brain-dead his family decided to donate his organs in the light of irreversible brain damage. “Neurologically he is deeply unconscious and is showing signs of brain failure. The family had come forward and consented for organ donation keeping in view the current irreversible brain damage. We will follow the guidelines as per organ donation protocol,”  said a statement from the Apollo Hospital to which they added saying he was on life support in the neuro ICU.

Actor Sudeep broke the saddening news via tweeting, it read, “Very, very disheartening to accept that Sanchari Vijay breathed his last.” Sudeep, who had met the late actor before the lockdown, added, “Met him couple of times just before this lockdown… All excited about his next film that’s due for release. Very sad. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP.”

Sanchari Vijay made his debut with the film Rangappa Hogbitna in 2011. He has appeared in many Kannada films including Dasavala, Harivu, Oggarane, Killing Veerappan, Varthamana, Sipaayi among others. His film “Naanu Avanalla Avalu” fetched him his first National Award and he rose to fame following thw success of the film.
