In an unfortunate event on Tuesday evening, a bus traveling from Kanpur to Ahmedabad met an accident and reportedly, at least 15 passengers on board have died. Police present at the scne confirmed that many of the passengers suffered critical injuries and until now 15 bodies have recovered. The accident occurred at Sachendi, near Kanpur, when Shatabdi AC bus of UP Roadways collided head-on with an JCB loader.
CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted a condolence to the families over twitter, “My heart is stirred by the road accident that took place in the Sachendi area of Kanpur…Praying to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured.”
दुर्घटना में मृतकों के परिजनों को ₹02-02 लाख की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जाएगी। इसके साथ ही उच्चाधिकारियों को मौके पर पहुंचकर घायलों का समुचित उपचार कराने व दुर्घटना के कारणों की जांच कर आख्या प्रस्तुत करने के लिए आदेशित किया है।

After the incident PM Modi and CM Adityanath has announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased. CM also instructed the senior officer from police to reach the scene immediately and provide all possible help.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted consoling for the family members of the deceased and injured passengers. He expressed his condolences in his tweet and also prayed for the strength.

Kanpur Outer’s superintendent of police Mr. Singh said, “a speeding bus hit a loader, which fell on the other side of the highway, while the bus overturned and fell into a ditch. Inspector General (Kanpur) Mohit Aggarwal said while 16 were brought dead to the hospital, one died during treatment.
SP Singh stated collision to be so strong that almost all passengers onboard got trapped and suffered critical injuries.
Probe has been ordered into the accident.
