Ananya Panday has established herself as an emerging star, and her recent performances have left the audience thrilled. She is getting ready to make her web series debut with the show ‘Call Me Bae’. In the teaser for Prime Video’s upcoming series Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday’s rich and privileged South Delhi girl tries to adapt to middle-class habits in Mumbai after being disowned by her billionaire family, which was released on Tuesday.
The trailer depicts Ananya’s learning to survive in Mumbai without the luxuries of her wealthy life. The trailer begins with Bae’s voiceover, in which she describes herself as a “golden spoon” girl. Bae’s life changes drastically when she loses everything. She used to live in the comfort of lavishness, with seven high-end cars, a private helicopter, and a dream wedding planned. She is now dealing with the hardships of a middle-class life in Mumbai, devoid of the magnificence she once possessed.
After being disowned, Bae relocates to Mumbai, where she gets sucked into a world unlike anything she has ever known. From navigating the city on autorickshaws to job hunting, she feels out of place in her new surroundings. Bae’s surprise at the everyday realities of middle-class life, whether it’s witnessing people eat white bread or being overconfident in job interviews, leads to a succession of amusing scenes in which Ananya captures the comedy and awkwardness of a girl attempting to adapt to a world she has never experienced.
Vir Das also appears in the trailer as Ananya’s supervisor at a media company. Vihaan Samat plays Bae’s spouse, while Muskkaan Jaferi and Niharika Lyra Dutt portray her close friends Saira and Taamarrah. Call Me Bae, which stars Gurfateh Singh Pirzada, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur, is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. It will be available on the Amazon Prime video on September 6.
