Jose Mouriho jests that Cristiano Ronaldo was in love with Karim Benzema when they both played together at Real Madrid because he was not selfish. He let him take the distinction. He backs the French striker to shine at the Euros and bring the best out of his international teammate Kylian Mbappe.
Former Los Blancos manager who managed the club from 2010-2013 and worked with Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo and French forward Karim Benzema, revealed in his coloumn for The Sun about top Euro 2020 strikers, he has worked with before. He included the name of Karim Benzema with Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku, etc. He is convinced that France is now better in the attack after having him. He can bring the best of his teammate – Mbappe, just like Kane did with Son Heung-Min at Tottenham.
“The best compliment to give Karim Benzema is that Cristiano Ronaldo was in love with him at Real Madrid. His sight is astonishing and he enjoys football, he plays freely. I can differentiate him to Harry Kane. Harry was a greater scorer but Karim is an amazing player. Seeing Mbappe, Griezmann and Benzema together would be amazing. Benzema doesn’t get injured often, he can get best of Mbappe just like it was with Cristiano. He can do a substantial job with France,” said Jose Mouriho.
He told that Karim Benzema is a team man. He did a lot for Ronaldo as a teammate and he does it with every other attacker. Karim is not selfish.
