In an unprecedented box office feat, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ has soared past the Rs 100 crore mark in its opening weekend, marking the biggest debut of Aaryan’s career. Released during the extended Diwali weekend, the film held its ground against Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated ‘Singham Again,’ making its success even more impressive.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ opened with an impressive Rs 35.5 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 37 crore on Saturday. Despite a slight dip of 10-15% on Sunday, it raked in Rs 33.5 crore, bringing its three-day total to an estimated Rs 106 crore. This success places the film third among Aaryan’s highest-earning movies, just behind ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (Rs 108.95 crore) and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ (Rs 184.32 crore). The movie also performed well internationally, earning $2 million in North America, securing a top 10 spot for the weekend.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ stars Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, and Rajpal Yadav. The film has seen a mix of audience reviews but benefitted from strong advance bookings. Monday’s collection will be crucial for its ongoing success, as it faces competition from upcoming Hollywood releases ‘Wicked’ and ‘Gladiator 2’ later this month.
On Sunday, Aaryan thrilled fans by appearing at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy, holding a ‘Housefull’ sign and taking selfies with excited fans, adding to the celebration of the film’s monumental opening.
