Kevin Jonas had a playful response to a side-by-side comparison of the SNL sketch characters from the Domingo sketch to the Jonas Brothers. After the broadcast of SNL50: The Anniversary Special, a social media user posted a photo of Pedro Pascal, Marcello Hernandez, and Bad Bunny from the sketch, with a note claiming they resembled the Jonas Brothers. Kevin, ever the good sport, humorously replied, “I don’t see it,” though he could see where people might make the comparison.
Fans, however, were quick to defend the comparison, pointing out specific character similarities. One fan joked that Pascal resembled Kevin, Hernandez looked like Nick, and Bad Bunny was like Joe, noting how easy it was to see. Others had fun with the idea, saying, “We have the Jonas Brothers at home,” while another joked about explaining to future generations that the Domingo characters were the Jonas Brothers.
The Domingo sketch, which premiered in October 2024, showcases Hernandez’s character getting caught up in chaotic musical adventures. In the anniversary special, Pascal’s character Renaldo and Bad Bunny’s character Santiago join in, making for a comedic trio. Kevin’s lighthearted reaction to the comparison made for an amusing moment, showing the fun the Jonas Brothers still have with their public image.
While Kevin and Joe Jonas didn’t appear at the SNL anniversary special, Nick Jonas, 32, made a Broadway-sketch appearance performing “One More Day” from Les Misérables. The Jonas Brothers, who have hosted SNL three times (in 2009, 2019, and 2023), continue to be a popular cultural reference.
