Kevin Spacey was spotted at JFK International Airport on Tuesday, almost two years after he was cleared of charges in a UK sexual assault trial. The actor, now 65, was seen with a cart full of luggage, looking upbeat and healthy. He was dressed casually in black joggers, an olive-green zip-up jacket over a bright orange shirt, and topped off his outfit with a fedora hat.
Spacey’s appearance comes shortly after he announced his return to filmmaking on social media. Recently, he shared a photo of himself in a cowboy costume on the set of an undisclosed movie being filmed in Phoenix. In his post, he wrote: “A little beaten up but honored to be back on the horse. On location in Phoenix.” He also expressed gratitude to his fans for their continued support after all the legal challenges he faced.
In 2023, a London jury cleared Spacey of all nine charges of sexual assault that had been filed against him, which stemmed from accusations during his time at the Old Vic Theatre. This followed a previous acquittal in 2022, when a New York jury found him not guilty of allegations made by actor Anthony Rapp, who accused Spacey of assault in the 1980s. In total, over thirty men had accused Spacey of sexual misconduct.
Even though Spacey emerged victorious in court, reports suggest that he has faced financial struggles, once admitting he was nearly bankrupt. However, in 2024, he made his return to the screen with a role in the thriller The Contract, which premiered at the Cairo Film Festival, and also starred in Peter Five Eight. These projects marked his comeback to the entertainment industry after years of personal and legal turmoil.
