Kimberly Noel aka Kim Kardashian West, an American media personality, businesswoman, producer, and actress wears earrings carrying the ‘Om’ symbol in her new photoshoot.
Pictures from the photoshoot are under the spotlight. The symbol ‘Om’ is considered highly sacred in Indian religions, mainly Hinduism.
Kim posted the pictures on Twitter on 23rd May 2021. She wrote in her caption, “I did a photoshoot with Sita using all KKW Beauty products! Photo, styling and creatives all done by @sitabellan!” The stylist, Sita Abellan, shared the same pictures and wrote, “Kim photographed and styled by me ❤️ so much fun.”

Kim’s fan loved her look and praised her. But some were critical of the look. While her mother wrote in a comment. “Sooooo beautiful!!!”, another person commented, “Is now a good time to mention that the Om is a sacred symbol to Hindus and not just an accessory?”
Another netizen said”Where’s Kangana when we need her,” referring to actor Kangana Ranaut, who was recently banned from the platform. A third person wrote in the comments, “STOP CULTURAL APPROPRIATION OF INDIAN CULTURE!!! WHAT’S UP WITH THOSE EARINGS GIRLLLL???”
Kim was also criticised last year for wearing a ‘maang tika’ while in a photo shoot.
