Kishore Biyani in a interview said that Amazon wants Future Group to languish while talking about the legal dispute between the two corporate. Future Group had decided to sell its retail, wholesale, logistics and warehouse businesses to Reliance for Rs. 25000 crore and Amazon owns 49% stake in it & filed a case against the Future Group for breaking contractual obligations and has stopped the deal to go further. While the SIAC has ordered a stay on the transaction but CCI has approved the transaction between Future Group & Reliance.
