Tesla CEO Elon Musk sent an invitation for Russian President Vladimir Putin to join him on audio-chat social media app Clubhouse earlier. The Kremlin said the invitation had come to noting and that Moscow did not receive a response after seeking further details.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told that they did not receive a response. He also said that the complete matter may have been a misunderstanding.
Musk had sent an invite in February. The Kremlin classified this as a “very interesting” proposal. When the invite was sent earlier in February, on a conference call with reporters, Peskov said, “In general, this is, of course, a very interesting proposal, but we need to understand what is meant, what is being proposed… first, we need to check, then we will react.”
