A summer transfer window would be incomplete without a Kylian Mbappe transfer to Real Madrid. It didn’t take long for rumours to surface this time, as the Frenchman shared his wish to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Reliable reports in the French media, which surfaced late on Monday night, state that Mbappe wrote to PSG officials stating his intention to not take up the contract extension option in his current deal, which expires in 2024 and could have been extended till 2025.
With PSG unwilling to risk losing the player on a free transfer in 2024, it is probable that he will be sold this summer. Mbappe’s ambition to play for Real Madrid, as well as the 14-time European Champions’ admiration for the youngster, are widely known and speculation about a possible transfer emerged quickly.
Mbappe, on the other hand, was angry at the media reports. The 2018 World Cup champion took to his Twitter account to reveal that all of these links are lies. Mbappe stated that he wants to stay at the club this season and that he is quite happy in Paris.

“LIES. At the same time, the bigger it is, the more it passes. I have already said that I will continue next season at PSG, where I am very happy,” Mbappe wrote on Twitter.
