SNL50: The Homecoming Concert was an unforgettable celebration, featuring incredible performances and star-studded collaborations that had fans buzzing long before the event. Among the standout moments, Lady Gaga teamed up with comedian and actor Andy Samberg for a performance that was equal parts hilarious and spectacular. The duo first wowed the audience with a rendition of Shallow, but it didn’t stop there. Samberg, known for his comedic genius, quipped about Justin Timberlake not being present, and soon enough, he and Gaga were belting out D**k in a Box, the iconic Lonely Island track from SNL’s 2006 Christmas special.
Their playful chemistry didn’t end with that unexpected collaboration. Samberg was later joined by fellow Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone, as well as Bad Bunny, Chris Parnell, and other stars, for a medley of fan-favorite songs including Motherlover, I’m On a Boat, Lazy Sunday, Jack Sparrow, and Jizz in My Pants. The entire segment was a wild ride, with Samberg even throwing in some tributes to his famous Dear Sister sketch from 2007, bringing back memories for SNL fans.
Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the concert brought together a diverse range of talent, including performances from Miley Cyrus, Jelly Roll, The B52s, Brandi Carlile, Eddie Vedder, and many more. Iconic bands like Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin also took the stage, while legends such as Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, and Cher delivered unforgettable moments. It was a musical celebration for the ages, with something for every type of fan!
