Lamar Odom recently shared the story behind his reunion with ex-wife Khloé Kardashian, more than a decade after their divorce. Speaking on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Odom revealed that he was encouraged to reconnect with Khloé by her close friend, Malika Haqq. According to Odom, he ran into Malika during Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas, where she suggested it might be time for him to reach out to Khloé after years of being apart. Malika offered to help make the reunion happen if Odom was open to it.
Following the conversation, Odom made his way to Khloé’s house in Hidden Hills, California, with a bouquet of roses, only to be surprised by the presence of a camera crew filming for The Kardashians Season 6. While Odom took it in stride, he acknowledged the surprise of the filming.
When asked if he and Khloé were back together, Odom clarified that they were not, stating that simply being friends with Khloé was a blessing for him. He noted how much time had passed and how much both he and Khloé had changed over the years. Khloé echoed this sentiment in a confessional scene, revealing that she didn’t feel like she knew the person Odom had become.
In the upcoming season of The Kardashians, Khloé’s mom, Kris Jenner, also appeared emotional, reflecting on the deep connection Khloé once had with Odom. Kris referred to him as “the love of her life,” hinting at the complicated emotions involved in their past relationship.
Khloé and Lamar married in 2009, just a month after meeting, but their marriage ended in 2013 after Khloé filed for divorce. However, their divorce was put on hold in 2015 when Lamar suffered a near-fatal overdose, with Khloé taking on the role of his caretaker. In 2016, Khloé filed for divorce again, and their split was finalized later that year. Khloé later had a high-profile relationship with Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares two children: True, 6, and Tatum, 2.
