LeBron James’ son Bronny James hospitalized after suffering cardiac arrest during USC Basketball workout

The family of Bronny James, the son of NBA star LeBron James said that he suffered a heart attack during a workout in Los Angeles on Monday and was rushed to the hospital.

“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital,” the James family said in a statement.

“He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Basketball player Bronny, 18, has made a commitment to play for the University of Southern California, where the incident took place.

The 6-foot-3 McDonald’s All-American, who is 18 years old, was one of the top players in the nation at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles.

LeBron James, his father, who is 38 years old, has stated that he hopes to play in the NBA long enough to share the court with his eldest son.
