Larry King, an interviewer for many politicians, leaders and celebrities, has died aged 87 after dealing with health problems for many years, including a stroke in 2019 that could have been fatal.
Larry King had a career worth six decades and worked for many news outlets, including CNN. He was hospitalised with a COVID-19 infection in Cedars Sinai Medical Hospital, Los Angeles. He was being treated for more than a week.
He ran a show called “Larry King Live” on CNN where he interviewed many world leaders, celebrities and politicians. The show ran from 1985 to 2010. Critics accused him of doing very little research before interviewing people but he said that was because he wanted to learn about the person he interviewed at the same time as his millions of viewers.
He published many books, including his autobiography “My Remarkable Journey” in 2009.
