The left-handed batsman first represented India in the ICC Knockout Trophy in 2000. Yuvraj Singh has appeared in 304 One-Day Internationals for India and was named Man of the Match during the 2011 World Cup. Yuvraj scored 8701 runs at an average of 36.55, including 14 hundred and 42 fifties in the One-Day International style. In 40 Tests, the all-rounder has amassed 1,900 runs at an average of 33.92, including three centuries and 11 fifties. His maximum Test score of 169 came against Pakistan in Bengaluru in 2001.

2) As a child, Yuvraj Singh preferred roller skating to cricket, and he even won the Nationals U-14 Roller Skating Championship. His dad, on the other hand, threw away his National Dimension decoration and told him to concentrate on cricket.

3) Yuvraj Singh was not a very good cricketer when he was younger. His father aspired for him to play for the national cricket team and requested Navjot Singh Sindhu to coach him.

4) In 1995, at the age of 13, the all-rounder made his debut for Punjab U16s. Yuvraj was promoted to the Punjab U19s and smashed Himachal Pradesh U19s for 137 runs not out.

5) Yuvraj Singh got his first crack when playing in the U19 Cooch-Behar Trophy versus Bihar. He scored 358 runs in the game.

6) Yuvraj Singh is the second Indian cricketer to address the Yorkshire region community, following Sachin Tendulkar. Along with Mohammad Kaif and Virender Sehwag, he became the first Indian to play T20 cricket.

7) Yuvraj Singh is the only player in Indian cricket history to have played a key role in three World Cup victories. In the 2000 ICC U19 World Cup, he was named Player of the Series. In the 2011 World Cup, he was named Player of the Series for the second time.

8) Yuvraj Singh had scored over 300 runs and taken 15 wickets in a single World Cup. To carry this off, he became the primary all-rounder. Yuvraj is also the leading Indian player in terms of sixes reached in Twenty20 matches.

9) In 2015, Delhi Daredevils made an offer of 16 crores for IPL Yuvraj Singh. It was the highest level provided until the eleventh IPL release.

10) This one may surprise you the most, but Yuvraj was a child actor in Punjabi films. He worked as a tyke star in two films, Mehndi Sajda Di and Putt Sardara. He also had a role in the Bollywood film Jumbo as a voice actor.
