Halle Bailey of The Little Mermaid has finally made her solo debut, and fans can’t get enough of her new tune. Bailey and her sister Chloe have been in an R&B duo since 2011.
The two siblings have gone on to become one of the most successful musical duos in the industry today. Chole Bailey debuted her first solo single, Have Mercy, last year, and it quickly became a chart and fan favourite. Bailey released a sneak glimpse of her song Angel on her YouTube channel and social media outlets on Monday, July 31.
The teaser featured a collection of her childhood home films and current solo concerts, with the instrumental version of the tune playing in the background. The teaser ended with the touching remark, “Angels make a way somehow.” Despite the fact that this is Halle’s formal solo debut, she previously appeared on the soundtrack for The Live-Action Little Mermaid. The soundtrack did exceptionally well, topping various music charts and debuting at No. 21 on the Billboard 200.
The 23-year-old’s fascinating interpretation of the classic Part of Your World peaked at No. 19 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, while her performance attracted a lot of attention. Fans of the singer were understandably overjoyed with her solo debut. They were visibly enthusiastic about Bailey’s upcoming solo adventure.
“Halle Bailey celebrating black girls>>>>>>>>>,” one admirer tweeted, while another said, “OH YES GIRL HIT THOSE NOTES.” “This song was needed,” one netizen said of the tune. “Do you ever get it out of your head?” our everlasting Mermaid presented once more.” All of her fans expressed their admiration for the singer, writing, “Halle, your vocals are great! I’m really proud of you!”
Meanwhile, Halle and her sister Chole have a Grammy-nominated band. Their son, Kids Are Alright (2018), debuted at No. 139, while Ungodly Hour (2020) debuted at No. 16.
