Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp Jurgen Klopp’s happiness after watching his team get an important win in the English Premier League turned to sadness on Monday when he briefly lost his wedding ring during the post-match celebrations.
The ring in the middle of the pitch at Anfield required the sharp eye of a TV cameraperson. Klopp responded by kissing the ring in front of the cameras, visibly relieved.
“I had a massive shock,” Klopp said, “but it’s back.”

The incident took place just after Liverpool defeated Newcastle 4-2, pushing Klopp’s team three points clear in the standings.
After congratulating his team and turning toward the cheering fans, Klopp became aware that his wedding ring was missing. He searched the area of grass next to where he was standing, even approaching a steward to see if he would mind helping in the search.
The man behind the camera for British channel Sky Sports then informed Klopp where the ring was.
“Oh my God, that would have been really awful,” Klopp said. “I lost it once in my life — I needed a professional diver because it was in the sea. From time to time when I lose one or two kilos, it’s not the right fit anymore.”
