L&T continues to dominate the construction sector; shares up by 3%

It seems a good year for Larsen & Toubro as the construction giant’s shares are once again on the rise.  The company has on Wednesday announced that it has secured another prestigious project from Metallurgical & Material Handling Business and Power Transmission & Distribution Business to construct an office space in Mumbai which ranges anywhere between Rs.1000 crore – 2500 crore.

  • Following the announcement L&T share hit a 52 week high at Rs.1390 and was up by 3% on the BSE Index.

Previously, L&T construction arm secured orders from Central Organisation for Railway Electrification for engineering, procurement and construction package (EPC)-06 to electrify 918.40 RKM/1171.31 Track KM of railway lines in the North Western Railway which is worth more than Rs.70,000 crore.
