Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt faces sudden turbulence, leaving 11 injured

According to Reuters, a Lufthansa flight from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt experienced significant turbulence while flying across the Atlantic, injuring eleven individuals. Lufthansa reported that 329 passengers and 19 crew members were on board the Boeing 747-8.

The brief turbulence took place in a zone of intertropical convergence. As per Reuters, Lufthansa, “Unfortunately, five passengers and six crew members suffered mostly minor injuries. The safety of the flight was not in jeopardy at any time.”

Following the plane’s safe landing in Frankfurt, Lufthansa reported that the injured were transported right away for medical attention.
