Lyricist Javed Akhtar files criminal defamation complaint against Kangana Ranaut

Renowned Bollywood lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar filed a criminal defamation complaint against actor Kangana Ranaut for her remarks against him during an interview, alleging Ranaut’s statements has harmed his reputation. The noted writer sought cognizance for the offense of defamation committed by the ‘Queen’ actress and punishable under the IPC (Indian Penal Code). The first hearing of the case has been scheduled for next month.
