Maareesan OTT Release: Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu starrer’s streaming date and platform revealed

Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu got back together for Maareesan after Maamannan. The main cast gives strong performances in this straightforward Tamil comic thriller film, which was directed by Sudheesh Sankar. The movie is now scheduled to debut on OTT following a respectable run at the box office.

Fans are impatiently anticipating the Maareesan OTT release date, which the makers have officially revealed. A poster heralding Maareesan’s arrival on the streaming behemoth was shared by the Netflix India team on August 17. The tweet states that on August 22, the Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil film would be available for streaming. All languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, will be able to watch it.

For those who haven’t seen it, Maareesan debuted on theaters on July 25. The comedy-thriller will be available online in less than a month. The film centers on Velayudham, an elderly man with Alzheimer’s. He meets Dhaya, a criminal, on a voyage who plans to take advantage of the illness to plunder him. But what comes next is a voyage that changes both of their lives and brings about unforeseen events.

In addition to Vadivelu and Fafaa, Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, and numerous others have significant roles in the film. During one of his interviews, Fahadh said he was confused with Vadivelu’s reaction to the film.

The Aavesham actor told a Hollywood reporter, “I initially heard it as a Malayalam film,” when asked if he had originally intended to make Maaresan in Malayalam. At the time, I was working on a Malayalam film when I heard this. I mentioned that we needed someone like Vadivelu sir for this film when we started the casting process. Following these conversations, the producer approached us.

He wondered why we weren’t producing this in Tamil as he is already a Tamil producer. My only need, though, was that Vadivelu sir be involved if we were doing it in Tamil, Fahadh continued.
