Macau’s gambling revenue surges by almost 135% in February

Gambling revenue in Macau surged 135.6 per cent in February year-on-year. Neither did the pandemic nor the authorities that urged residents to limit travel could keep away the casino from earning profits.

The world’s biggest casino hub struggled to boost visitors from its key market of mainland China. Yet the figures shown in the February report outshines.

February’s figure was 7.312 billion patacas ($915.14 million), according to figures released by the Macau government on Monday.
