A day after Kartik Aaryan welcomed Vidya Balan to the third instalment of their blockbuster horror comedy franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa, there appears to be another interesting development. Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Madhuri Dixit in alongside Vidya, according to a Mid-Day report.
As per the report, a source said, “The team felt another spirit would add to the narrative. So, it will be Rooh Baba versus the two ghosts played by Madhuri and Vidya. By bringing the two leading ladies together for the first time on screen, the makers have played a trump card.”
It also stated that the movie is expected to begin production in March. According to the same source, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik’s ex-girlfriend, may replace Kiara Advani’s role opposite him him in the threequel. However, it also added, “The discussions are at a nascent stage. Nothing is confirmed yet.”
Vidya Balan, who played Manjulika in the psychological horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), is expected to make a comeback to the franchise.
The third part will be helmed by Anees Bazmee, who directed the second. The first half was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar opposite Vidya. Kartik starred with Tabu and Kiara Advani in the second part.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to hit theaters this Diwali.
