The Madras High Court has quashed Income Tax proceedings against Karti Chidambaram and wife Srinidhi Chidambaram. The husband-wife duo was alleged for non disclosure of funds accounting to seven crore through sale of land owned in Muttukadu. The IT Department initiated criminal prosecution for allegedly non disclosing funds clubbing to Rs 7.73 crore for 2015-16 fiscal. Karti Chidambaram is a Congress politician representing Lok Sabha from Shivanga.
