Magic Johnson shares an adorable yet strong message for his son EJ on his 31st birthday.
In 2013, EJ came out as gay. He also starred in the 2019 series Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. He played as one of the leads and gained a loyal fan base. As per People Magic’s statement to them, “I love EJ’s career. I think that EJ is really taking charge of his career and making his own decisions, and he knows how and what he wants to get into. I’m really proud of him because he’s getting so involved and letting his voice help other people too.”
He further added, “He’s always saying, You know what, Dad, I want to make sure everything that I do is enjoyable and that it sends the right message out there to my fans and the people who have always loved and supported me. He’s saving a lot of people’s lives, and people don’t even know it, and I’m so proud of him. A lot of young people will call him and ask, ‘How did you come out?” or ‘Can you help me? I haven’t told my parents,’ and man, he gives so much great advice.”
On Twitter, Magic tweeted on his birthday, “Happy Birthday to my son, EJ! I love your pure heart and creativity!” the NBA legend and entrepreneur wrote on Twitter, adding, “Keep living your truth; it’s what I love about you most! Have a great day!”

EJ’s mother, Cookie Johnson, took to Instagram and posted the same. She captioned, “Happy birthday, my @ejjohnson_! You are my great love! I pray that the Lord will have favour on you and bless you abundantly in your 31st year. “I love you, sweetheart, Mom.”
