Mahindra Tractors is scaling up supply of its 4WD tractor range as rising agricultural and haulage requirements in Maharashtra drive higher demand for more powerful and durable machinery. The company remains India’s No.1 tractor brand and the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume.
Mahindra’s extensive 4WD lineup in the 20–70 hp category—across the Arjun, Novo, YuvoTech+, Jivo and OJA series—is engineered for Indian agriculture with rugged builds, heavy-duty axles, wider tyres and increased ground clearance.
By distributing engine power to all four wheels, the tractors deliver superior traction and grip, especially on challenging soils and hilly regions. The engines are designed for long duty cycles, increased fuel efficiency and reduced tyre wear, lowering the overall cost of operations and ensuring minimal downtime.
Ergonomic upgrades, advanced safety systems and user-friendly controls allow operators to perform heavy tasks of 2–3 tonnes with greater ease while reducing fatigue. Faster headland turns and improved handling enhance work efficiency across both farming and non-farming applications.
Mahindra notes that the shift to 4WD technology is accelerating nationwide, driven by global trends, rising awareness and government incentives. The company states that while 4WD tractors cost more initially, their durability and long-term benefits offer a stronger return on investment.
The tractors are built across Mahindra’s plants in Nagpur, Mumbai, Zaheerabad, Rudrapur, Rajkot and Jaipur, and supported by India’s most extensive dealership and service network. Farmers can access genuine spare parts easily and get round-the-clock assistance through Mahindra’s 24×7 service helpline (1800 2100 700), including doorstep support.
Mahindra, which crossed the 4 million global sales milestone in 2024, continues to operate in over 50 countries with more than 300 tractor models and multiple international manufacturing units.
