Nobel Peace Prize winner Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai signed a deal with Apple TV. According to the deal, she will produce dramas, comedies, documentaries, animation, and children’s series that focus on women and children on Apple TV with her new production company Extracurricular.
“I couldn’t ask for a better partner than Apple to help bring these stories to life. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support women, young people, writers, and artists in reflecting the world as they see it,” said Malala.
With the multiyear programming partnership, Malala hopes to bring new voices to the platform.
In 2015, Apple produced a documentary about Malala. The company also paired up with Malala Fund in 2018 to promote secondary education to girls across the globe.
