Man chops off neighbors wrist for requesting football back in Kerala

An elderly man who was often seen scolding children playing football nearby his house chopped off the wrist of the child’s father who went inside his house to take the ball which got inside by mistake. 65-year-old, Ramakrishnan was arrested by Badiadka police and was remanded in judicial custody on Saturday.

According to the police, Ramakrishnan, took the football inside his house when it fell in his compound and one of the kid’s father, Kareem went to retrieve the ball but both of them got into a quarrel and the elderly man started attacking him with a machete. Kareem’s wrist almost got detached from his body and he was taken to the cooperative hospital by the neighbours and underwent an emergency operation.

The surgeon spent around three hours stitching back the wrist, the doctor said that several veins and bones were cut and they had to insert a steel rod to strengthen the hand. There are multiple stitches inside and outside. It is said that he is recovering very well and will be discharged very soon. Ramakrishnan will be charged in the case of an attempt to murder will be facing a sentence of around 5-10 years imprisonment under IPC section 307.
