Manchester City lifts Premier League trophy, Liverpool and Chelsea book their spot for Champions League next season

The last day of Premier League was very hectic and emotional as the race for the last four was intense till the last day. Manchester City was guaranteed the third title in four years and Manchester United was certain for a second spot after a good season.

The focus was on the last two spots for which Leicester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool were fighting. Liverpool secured their place with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Leicester City lost their match against Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 due to a late goal at King Power stadium which knocked them out of the top four and Chelsea secured a top-four finish despite losing 2-1 at Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur secured a spot in the Europa League conference league by coming into the seventh spot, West Ham and Leicester City will be playing in the UEFA Europa League in the next season while Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea will be playing in the prestigious UEFA Champions League next season.

Chelsea and Manchester City will be playing in this season’s UEFA Champions League final this week. The stage is all set for the blues and Chelsea has reached the final in a very long time while Manchester City was knocked out from the semi-finals last season.
