According to reports, Manchester United and Inter Milan have agreed to a 55 million euro agreement to transfer Inter first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana to Old Trafford.
Both big clubs agreed on a fee of 51 million euros plus 4 million euros in add-ons for the Cameroonian player.
Since the beginning of the transfer season, Erik Ten Hag has had his eyes set on his former player Onana since United is in need of a starting goalkeeper with the exit of star goalkeeper David De Gea this summer.
Onana left Ajax last summer and immediately signed with Inter on a free transfer. He played 24 times in Serie A, made 62 saves and recorded 8 clean sheets. He had a great season.
His performance in the Champions League was astounding. Last year, he played in 11 UCL games, with 47 saves and 8 clean sheets.
However, these are not the only reasons why United was interested in the Cameroonian.
With his feline-like reflexes and classy footwork, along with his gift for making important passes from goal, Onana gained a reputation as one of the world’s top goalkeepers.
Onana is rumoured to have already said his goodbyes to his Inter teammates and is on his way to Manchester to get his medical and sign the contract before joining United on their pre-season tour of the US.
