Benchmark indices opened positive at 9.15 AM IST. Sensex was up at 44,718 with a 0.19% gain. Nifty rose with 38 points, standing at 13,172. Among sectoral indices, Auto, Phrama and Metal outshone in green. Tata Power, Ultratech Cement were the top gainers, while Bharti Infratel, Asian Paints and VI were counted in the losers category.
