F1 driver for Mercedes Valtteri Bottas suffered a terrible dose of Monte Carlo misfortune when a routine pit stop went horribly wrong, forcing the Finn to withdraw from the Monaco Grand Prix. The pit team was unable to remove his worn right front tire despite several attempts with the wheel gun to release the wheel nut. It was an afternoon to forget for Mercedes.

Perez had a great day as he finished 4th, despite starting 8th. Redbull had a brilliant strategy today to help Redbull overtake Mercedes in the constructors’ championship. Redbull are on 149 points and Mercedes on 148, as only 1 point separates them. On the other hand, only 2 points are separating Mclaren in third and Ferrari in fourth. Vettel is fifth with a great drive from the formula 1 veteran. He overtook Gasly to finish 5th.AlphaTauri’s Gasly finished in sixth while holding off Hamilton.

This was Max’s first win in Monaco and what a day for the Dutch driver as he is leading the chart for the first time in his career.
