Meghan Markle has played one of the iconic characters of Rachel Zane in Suits

Meghan Markle continues to be fondly remembered for her iconic role as Rachel Zane on Suits. During a recent visit to Vancouver, Canada, the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry met with athletes competing in the Invictus Games, where Markle’s former TV character was a hot topic of conversation.

Leandra Moehring, a team member, told People Magazine that she and her fellow athletes couldn’t help but express their admiration for Markle’s role in the hit legal drama.

“We told her we saw her on Suits,” Moehring revealed. Markle responded with a laugh, saying, “I’m sorry, I’m not wearing a pencil skirt.” The quip was a nod to her character’s signature monochromatic wardrobe—typically featuring pencil skirts, sleek blouses, and heels.

Moehring also shared details about the couple’s warmth and generosity during their visit.

“They really took the time with each and every one of us. Despite people trying to keep them on schedule, they didn’t mind taking pictures at all. It was just super neat,” she said, adding, “I loved them.”

Another athlete, Bryce Ewing, echoed Moehring’s sentiments, describing the Duke and Duchess as “humble, down-to-earth, and caring.”

Markle’s Suits Legacy & Its Revival

Markle starred as Rachel Zane for seven seasons on Suits, playing the love interest of Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams). The show, which ran on NBC from 2011 to 2020, remains a fan favorite and has seen a resurgence in popularity.

With the franchise expanding, Suits L.A., a spin-off with a new cast, is currently in development.
