Melania Trump gets candid while sharing how she stands on her own feet as she gets ready to return to being the first lady again

Melania Trump recently opened up about her thoughts on returning to the White House as first lady when her husband, Donald Trump, takes office again on January 20, 2025. During an interview on Fox & Friends, Melania was asked how her role might feel different now compared to when she first served as first lady in 2017.

She shared that, even back then, she always tried to stay true to herself, but she felt that many people didn’t really “accept” her or understand her the way they do now. Melania admitted that she didn’t feel like she had much support at that time. She also said that some people may have just seen her as “the president’s wife,” but she emphasized that she is her own person with her own opinions, independent thoughts, and the right to make her own decisions. She pointed out that she doesn’t always agree with her husband, and that’s completely okay.

Melania revealed that she has no problem voicing her disagreement when it comes to Donald Trump. She feels comfortable offering her perspective and giving advice, but she mentioned that whether or not he listens is up to him. She said, “Sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn’t,” and she’s perfectly fine with that.

When asked where she plans to spend most of her time during her husband’s second term, Melania said her main base will be the White House, but she’ll be in New York or Palm Beach whenever necessary. She explained that her primary focus is on her roles as a mother, wife, and first lady, and once they move into the White House, she’ll be fully committed to serving the country.
