The Ministry of Home Affairs has allotted the sum Rs.12,434.90 for the construction of 32 roads on the India-China border under Phase 2. Phase 2 project was held due to the six month long standoff and delay in restoring security and clearances. The roads will come unto Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh. For Phase 3, 50 roads have been proposed with road connectivity between all three phases. BRO was entrusted with 61 border roads while the work was stopped at 29 and 32 were delayed.
