Michael B. Jordan Explains Why Creed 4 Is Taking Time

Michael B. Jordan recently shared that while Creed 4 is in the works, fans will have to be patient as he’s not rushing into another installment. He explained that he doesn’t want to make the movie just for the sake of it; instead, he’s focused on making sure the timing feels right and that the story is something special. Jordan wants the next movie to resonate with audiences, giving them enough time to miss the franchise before returning.

Producer Irwin Winkler confirmed in November 2023 that Creed 4 was in development, and there’s a strong story lined up. He also hinted that Jordan could return as director, just like in Creed III, which was released in 2023. Jordan made his directorial debut with Creed III, which was a success and continued the legacy of Adonis Creed, the character he first portrayed in Creed (2015) and continued in Creed II (2018).

While Creed 4 is taking time to develop, Jordan is keeping busy with other projects, including reuniting with Creed director Ryan Coogler for Sinners, a supernatural vampire movie where he plays twin brothers alongside Hailee Steinfeld. So, while fans eagerly await Creed 4, Jordan’s working on new, exciting ventures in the meantime!
