Microsoft to launch new Office 2021, Office LTSC available for Windows and macOS this year

Tech giant Microsoft will be launching an updated Office 2021this year. The new launch will come in two versions, Office 2021 for personal use and Office LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) for commercial use.

The Office LTSC will include dark mode support, accessibility improvements, and features like Dynamic Arrays, XLOOKUP in Excel, and a few other changes in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. The list of features on Microsoft Office 2021 will be released soon.

Both versions will be available for Microsoft and Mac OS. The details on pricing will be announced close to the launch.

“It’s just a matter of trying to meet customers where they are. We certainly have a lot of customers that have moved to the cloud over the last 10 months, that’s happened en masse really. At the same time, we definitely have customers who have specific scenarios where they don’t feel like they can move to the cloud,” said Jared Spataro, head of Microsoft 365 in a report by Verge.
