Midfielder Lucas Vazquez signed three year contract extension with the Real Madrid

Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez has signed a three-year contract extension with the club. Vazquez is a graduate of the Real youth academy. He made his first-team debut in 2015 and now he has developed into Real Madrid’s one of the most reliable players who can play at both the wings and he can also play as a right-back who can use flank to help in attacking third.

In the absence of first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal last season, Vazquez played at his position and gave a brilliant performance. He has impressed the Club management with his contribution to the team.
According to media reports, Bayern Munich and few other European clubs were interested in Lucas Vazquez but he chooses to stay on under newly-appointed coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Lucas Vazquez has made 34 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions last season but his campaign ended when he injured his knee in a match against Barcelona in April. Lucas had a collision with Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets. Real Madrid won the El-Clasico by 2-1.
Lucas has made 240 appearances for Real Madrid’s senior team, scoring 26 goals and providing 54 assists in the process.

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric signed a contract extension last month although captain Sergio Ramos is yet to extend his contract. Sergio Ramos’s contract will expire at the end of this month.
