The comment, usually reserved to offer condolences, was interpreted by many as Mika confusing the post for an obituary, even though the veteran director is very much alive.
The mix-up happened when a news channel shared an update on Hera Pheri 3, which will reunite Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The post mentioned that the upcoming comedy would be Priyadarshan’s final Bollywood outing. Mika seemed to misread it as news of the filmmaker’s passing and dropped his condolence comment in the section below.
Netizens were quick to react, with many trolling the singer in a lighthearted manner.
