Milkha Singh, 91-years-old legendary sprinter tests positive for COVID-19

Indian legendary sprinter Milkha Singh tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently home isolated.

Thursday, May 20: Indian legendary sprinter Milkha Singh tested positive for COVID-19 and he is currently home isolated. He said that he is well and nothing to worry about.

Milkha Singh is 91 years old and popularly known as Flying Sikh. He is a gold medallist of the 1958 and 1962 Asian Games. Milkha told PTI, “A couple of our helpers tested positive and so all the family members did the tests. Only I returned positive on Wednesday and I am surprised.”

“I am fine and there is no fever or cough. My doctor told me I will be alright in three-four days. I did jogging just yesterday. I am in high spirits,” he added.

According to TOI, he said that he will take the vaccine when he will be fully recovered. He said, “I did not feel the requirement for vaccination earlier, but now I think I should get the jab and would urge everyone to take it as soon as possible. But it’s the love and blessings of the entire nation that I will be back running very soon.” He is currently under home observation in Chandigarh.

Milkha Singh is a five-time Asian Games gold medallist and also his unforgettable performance was the fourth-place finish in the 400m final of the 1960 Olympics.
