On Monday, a minor fire broke out in the IT building of Delhi’s Safdarjung Airport. The officials said at least six fire tenders rushed to the incident.
The Delhi Fire Services Chief Atul Garg said that all the occupants in the premises were rescued with the help of fire ladder and no casualties have been reported so far. The fire started from a showroom in the Central Market and at least 16 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
It was reported that several windows of the building cracked. The Delhi Police told a news agency that six fire engines of the Delhi fire service along with two fire brigades of the Airport authority of India were trying to extinguish the fire. No casualties were reported.
The Lodhi Colony policesStation had received a call regarding the fire at 3:40 pm on Monday. The fire had started on the first floor of the IT building at Delhi’s Safdarjung Airport, according to the report. The SHO along with other police and fire personnel went to the spot and efforts were taken to extinguish the fire.
The fire was extinguished before being able to spread out around. The cause of the fire is still uncertain.
