Mirabai’s medal can be converted into gold, Chinese athlete Hou to undergo dope test

Mirabai Chanu, who won a silver medal for India in weightlifting, can convert to gold.

Big news has come out of the Tokyo Olympics. Mirabai Chanu, who won a silver medal for India in weightlifting, can convert to gold. According to sources, Chinese athlete Hou Zhihui, ranked number one, is suspected of doping. The Anti-Doping Agency has called Hou for sample-B testing. It is believed that her sample-A is not clean.

Chinese athlete Hou Zhihui was due to return to her country on Monday but has been asked to stay. She can have a doping test at any time. This has happened before in the history of the Olympics when a player’s medal was taken away for failing doping and given to the second-ranked player. At the same time, Mirabai has returned to India. She was given a warm welcome at the Delhi airport.

An official of the Weightlifting Federation of India said that no information has been given by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) about the same yet. According to sources, due to doubts in the A-sample of the gold-winning Chinese Hou, she has now been called for the B-sample. If the B-sample of the Chinese player is positive, then it will be announced by the IOC and the Tokyo Organizing Committee.

Meera has won India’s first and only medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in the women’s 49 kg weight category by lifting a total of 202 kg. Whereas China’s Hou Zhihui won the gold medal by lifting 210 kg. And Indonesia’s Windy Cantika Aisah won the bronze.
