Alexander DeLeon and Josephine Skriver are now officially parents. On Thursday, the couple announced the birth of their first child, sharing a black-and-white photo of their hands cradling their newborn.
“Aurora James,” the model simply captioned her post, revealing the name of their daughter.
In a joint Instagram post, the model and her partner first announced the wonderful news that the model was expecting a child in May. Skriver posted a picture of herself topless in jeans, holding up her chest to flaunt her bump at different angles. “2+1 ❤️,” the couple captioned the post.
The couple had just celebrated their first wedding anniversary a month earlier. “Pinch me.. has it really been a year already?? 💍🤍 Becoming your wife has been one of my biggest joys in life,” Skriver captioned the post, where she posted wedding images.
In 2015, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model talked about her own family dynamic in an interview with i-D magazine, revealing that she was an “IVF kid.”
She said, “In Denmark, in ’92, there was this newsletter for the whole LGBTQ community and my mom just put an ad in there and was like, ‘I want to bring a kid into this world. Does anyone want to be part of that?’ She added, “She got a few replies and the first one actually turned out to be my dad,” Skriver went on to say that noting that the “concept of family … is a group of people bound by love.”
