In 2013, Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph collaborated on the critically acclaimed film Drishyam. Following the success of the second installment, the pair is back with Drishyam 3, their third installment.
Through a social media post, the movie’s official confirmation was made by the superstar himself. The actor wrote, “The Past Never Stays Silent,” sharing the same. “Drishyam 3 Confirmed!”
For a while now, there has been a lot of talk about Drishyam 3. During early interviews, filmmaker Jeethu Joseph revealed that he had specific ideas about the movie and how it may be evolved from the second installment.
A second installment is confirmed to be coming shortly, despite the director’s claims that he was still in the early phases of preparing the same. If you don’t know, Jeethu Joseph directed the 2013 criminal thriller Drishyam, which starred Mohanlal in the major role. A family guy named Georgekutty, who resides with his wife and two kids, is the subject of the movie.
In a startling change of events, the man and his family are suspected of being responsible for the disappearance of Varun Prabhakar, the son of IG Geetha Prabhakar. The remainder of the movie centres on Georgekutty’s efforts to avoid the police and keep his family safe.
It’s interesting to note that over time, Drishyam has been translated into a number of languages. The film, starring Ajay Devgn, has been remade in several Indian languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and even Hindi. The film has been translated into Chinese and Sinhala outside of India.
